So far it looks like only Fry's in Los Angeles has put this on the shelves and we have asked them to remove it till July 18th, and they indicated they will. So a few of you may get this build sooner than others. Regards, Craig.cough if it's already been shipped it means QA has signed off.cough early release.cough what's the point in the 18th.sneeze Boy these allergies are bad.

We wish to hold off for the Release of Nero 6 Ultra Edition for the 18th for a few reason. 1) Web site is not ready for internet purchases 2) We need to corordinate the release so that all stores have Nero 6 available for sell at the same time 3) And we've already made a big announcement as to when Nero 6 will be available. And yes, we have provided samples to many editors on our Nero 6 Ultra Edition software. The CeBit show in New York had our booth flooded non-stop with editors who were very impressed with what we had to show, and who all expressed that we should raise our price for the product and of course we refused, and we obtained information from each of them and sent them all samples of our Nero 6 Ultra Edition software for review. We hope to see reviews on our Nero 6 software very soon. We are anxiously awaiting them just as you are.

Just don't let that guy at the door look in your bag - I never do. I absolutely resent it that they want treat me as a shoplifter. Let them call the cops - that's fine with me and the cops can pull me over on the street. But if those ex-burger flippers dare try to physically restrain me by touching me - well, my son-in-law is an attorney and we'll both enjoy splitting a tidy settlement.

Manuals are appearing on the web. If it's ready, time to let it go. If you put your CRM hat on, it's the returning and upgrade customers you want to take care of, not new ones in the retail channel.

My point is that if retailers are releasing the product in the channel already (even unintended), seems to me that Ahead should take care of exisitng customers since its already out there. Bumping up release dates due to channel issues is something I've done before.

You can still have the official launch, releasing ahead of time to upgrade customers won't take away from it or minimize the impact of the launch unless you are worried about the quality of the product. Although, based on the 2 previews I've read, that doesn't seem to be an issue. If anything, releasing the upgrade to existing customers is a good thing because it not only makes them feel privileged for owning the previous product and getting it ahead of 'new' customers, but it also serves as a good way to elicit feedback on the product and potentially address any issues (yes it does mean that we are guinea pigs) before the product has been fully launched.

Hello everyone, Just installed nero 6.6.0.13 ultra edition, with all serials, for multichannel, svd/vcd plugin etc. Then I want to make a SVCD with an Xvid AVI file, with nero burning rom - however as I drag the file over and it analyzes the file, I get the message: 'Due to patent license restrictions, MPEG-4 Decoding is not available.

This feature can be added by installing the Nero 6 retail package or the web version' The version I have, is a version I have paid for, so this sounds like garbage to me! Also I have all xvid, divx, tag2000audio codec, etc installed I have googled for this, however I only get some strange results, so I hope some of you might have some answers. Is it a plugin I need, or another serial, or the like? Kind regards, Nipmads ps.

Attached is an image of the error message.
